Claire Grimm, MS, CCC-SLP

Undergraduate: Penn State

Graduate: Penn State

Hi! My name is Claire and I am a Speech Therapist in the South Hills of Pittsburgh! I am so excited to join the Uptown Speech team and provide family-centered speech therapy in the community!

Work Experience

I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies at Penn State University and have been a PA girl ever since! I have always had a passion for working with children and helping them communicate with their families, friends, and the world around them. I moved to Pittsburgh in 2018 and have provided speech therapy in outpatient pediatric settings as well as Early Intervention. I have experience working with children ages 1-18 with a variety of communication differences and disorders. I specialize in early language development, stuttering, voice, social language, and literacy development. I also have a passion for clinical education and have worked as a clinical supervisor at PennWest University training graduate student clinicians with both adult and pediatric clients. In 2024, I became an Adjunct Clinical Instructor in the Stuttering Clinic at Duquesne. I love seeing the excitement about communication in both my clients and future SLPs!

A Bit More About Me

I live in Mount Lebanon with my husband, Taylor, and dog, Gordie. I spend most of my free time walking Gordie, running, baking, or working on home renovation projects with Taylor. I am a proud member of the South Hillbillies Athletic Club and enjoy using my long runs to explore the Pittsburgh area on foot. I am a coffee fanatic and have a huge sweet tooth. Luckily, I also am a big fan of Mecka Fitness in Mt. Lebo so you can often find me running straight from a bootcamp to a bakery!
